Signs your iPhone 15 screen needs replacing
- Cracks in the glass around the Dynamic Island while the picture below still works
- Taps near the top edge, around the Dynamic Island, that the screen ignores
- A green tint or a single vertical line that showed up after a drop
- A dark spot or dead pixels in a corner that slowly grows
- The screen lights up but touch stops responding in one strip

What to know about the iPhone 15
- Not the same screen as the iPhone 14
- Both are 6.1-inch OLED phones, but the iPhone 15 uses a higher-resolution panel and adds the Dynamic Island, so it takes a different part. Settings > General > About > Model Name confirms which one you have.
- Check the Dynamic Island and True Tone after the repair
- Once the new screen is on, look at True Tone under Settings > Display & Brightness and check that the area around the Dynamic Island looks even, with the front camera clear.
- There is no ProMotion on this model
- The iPhone 15 refreshes at 60Hz. Only the Pro models step up to 120Hz, so the scrolling will feel the same as before rather than smoother.

Back up first if the phone still works: Settings > your name > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Back Up Now, on Wi-Fi. A computer backup works too.
Have your passcode ready. You'll want it to unlock and check the phone once the new screen is on.
Note what worked before the damage: Face ID, True Tone, the front camera, and touch in every corner. It helps separate old problems from new ones.
